Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions

The one-day workshop sessions explored and explained how consumer protection programs can be more effective at events where humans and farm animals are in close proximity to each other, including fairs, expositions, petting zoos, classrooms and tourism venues.

Participants took part in interactive discussions and learned how to develop site-specific tools to evaluate their facilities as well as action plans to minimize the risks associated with pathogens. They left with a starter kit for creating or enhancing consumer protection programs at their own facility.
